Karachi: A young man was killed and another injured in the shooting at Kemari Padar ground. The police claim that the firing was being done in the joy of a wedding ceremony, while the injured youth said that they were fired with the intention of murder.
According to Express News, two people were injured in the firing at Kemari Padar Ground in Jackson area, one of the injured youth was shifted to Civil Hospital while the other was shifted to Jinnah Hospital. The person being shifted to Jinnah Hospital was identified as Afzal.
According to the police, the injured Jawad died during treatment at the civil hospital, while the condition of the other injured is said to be out of danger.
The father of deceased Jawad said that Jawad was unmarried and the eldest among 7 brothers while he was working on a machine in a fishery. I was present when the shooting happened, my son was killed by a deliberate front firing.
The police recorded the statement of the injured citizen Afzal, the injured Afzal has said that he was shot with the intention of murder, Afzal has identified the accused who opened fire during the wedding ceremony as Anas son of Sohrab. Absconding since the incident, the accused did not fire in the air but on the street.
The father of the deceased Jawad has appealed to the police to arrest the accused who opened fire as soon as possible.
