The Special Court of Official Secrets Act ordered to talk to the sons of chairman PTI and asked for an implementation report by September 15.
Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain of the Special Court of Official Secrets Act heard the contempt petition filed by Chairman PTI against the Superintendent of Attock Jail.
The petitioner’s lawyer, Shiraz Ranjha, said that despite the court orders, Chairman PTI was not allowed to talk to his children on telephone. Be summoned in the status, contempt of court proceedings should be initiated against the Superintendent of Attock Jail.
In the petition, it was requested that the Chairman PTI be ordered to talk to the children through telephone and WhatsApp.
The lawyer argued that the Superintendent of Attock Jail said that the accused was arrested under the Official Secrets Act and therefore could not be interviewed over telephone or WhatsApp. The superintendent said that the accused cannot be made to talk to the children sitting abroad on the phone, there is no restriction on making them talk on the phone under the Official Secrets Act.
The court adjourned the hearing till September 15, directing to ensure the implementation of the court orders.
