Mumbai: The release of Kangana Ranaut’s film ‘Chandramukhi 2’ has been postponed due to the fear of the history-making success of Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan’s mega thriller ‘Jawan’.
Renowned filmmaker P Vasu’s film was slated for release on September 15 and will now hit the theaters on September 28.
The reasons for the postponement of Kangana Ranaut and Raghav Lawrence’s film are said to be technical, while according to analysts, the decision has been taken after the immense success of ‘Jawan’.
The Attlee-directed film has taken the industry by storm with a historic first day business of 129 crores and is on pace to cross more milestones.
It should be noted that Kangana Ranaut’s new film is a sequel to the 2005 release ‘Chandramukhi’, which starred Rajinikanth and Jyothika.
