Karachi: The Sindh High Court has ordered the FIA investigation officer to submit a progress report on the upcoming hearing on the petitions of actress Mehwish Hayat and Kabra Khan regarding the alleged false allegations on social media.
The petitions of actress Mehwish Hayat and Kabra Khan regarding the alleged false accusations on social media were heard in front of the Sindh High Court bench comprising of Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto and Justice Mrs. Kausar Sultana Hussain.
The FIA cybercrime investigation officer appeared in the court and said that Mehwish Hayat has requested forensic examination of the objectionable video. Mehwish Hayat wants to be told whether her face is in the video or not. Video forensics facility is located in Islamabad. Mehwish Hayat’s video has been sent to Islamabad for forensics. Magistrate Mrs. Kausar Sultana Hussain inquired that how much time will be required for video forensics? On which the investigating officer said that video forensics may take 4 weeks. Mehwish Hayat’s objectionable video links have been blocked.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case for 4 weeks while ordering the FIA investigation officer to submit a progress report at the next hearing.
In the petitions filed, it has been stated that Adil Raja calls himself an ex-military officer. Adil Raja has done propaganda against 4 actresses. Charges against Kabra Khan have been withdrawn. He has written my name as “MH”. FIA Cybercrime has been approached but no action is being taken. False allegations were made on social media. The accusers should be punished. The content on social media should be removed immediately.
