Islamabad/Moscow: Russia has expressed interest in increasing cooperation in the energy sector in Pakistan.
Russian Energy Minister Niko Lai Shuigenov had a meeting with Pakistan’s Ambassador to Russia Shafqat Ali Khan. In which the Minister of Energy of Russia appreciated the efforts of the ambassador of Pakistan in the energy sector cooperation between the two countries.
He specially thanked the ambassador of Pakistan for the successful holding of the intergovernmental commission of the two countries and emphasized on increasing cooperation with Pakistan, including bilateral cooperation, especially in the energy sector.
Pakistan’s ambassador mentioned the growing ties between the two countries and said that Pak-Russia relations will be further developed.
In the meeting, aspects of cooperation between Pakistan and Russia in the field of energy were reviewed. The Minister of Energy of Russia emphasized on the early establishment of a giant working group for the development of the gas sector between the two countries.
The Russian minister also discussed the establishment of an international transport route with Pakistan and expressed interest from Russia.
