Peshawar: A two-day training workshop on photography at Peshawar University’s Art and Design Department under the supervision of US-based Pakistani photographer Nasir Rauf has concluded.
As a resource person, he informed the students about the various aspects of photography and the latest techniques used in this particular field.
The participants of the workshop also asked Nasir Rauf various questions about the techniques and methods of art photography. Peshawar University Dean Qazi Naeem and Chairperson Dr Zal Huma said that not only our students but also faculty members participated in the two-day event and learned a lot from Nasir Rauf.
Describing the training workshop as a memorable event, Dr Imrana Sammy, a member of the faculty, said, “I have learned many new things about photography and hope that more such events will continue.”
Expressing his views, Nasir Rauf said that it is true that the latest cameras, lenses and types are very important in photography, but the real thing is how the photographer sees the things around him and a scene. Or how deeply he engages with his surroundings before capturing the event.
He said that Pakistani youth are very talented, I am very happy to organize the training.
