Children with autism may suffer from depression in the future

London: A new study has revealed that children with a higher body mass index (BMI) have a higher risk of developing depression later in life.

Researchers at King’s College London analyzed data from more than 10,000 twins from the Twins Early Development Study and the UK Adult Twin Registry.

In the study, researchers looked at the relationship between BMI and depression in children aged 12, 16 and 21 years.

The study found that being overweight in children between the ages of 12 and 16 can affect their mood, such as depression and other symptoms, including irritability.

According to experts, body dissatisfaction and weight-related issues are the main causes of this condition in children and this age is crucial to help affected children.

The researchers found that children between the ages of 12 and 16 who had a higher BMI had a higher risk of developing depression than children between the ages of 16 and 21.

According to the study’s lead author, Dr. Ellen Thompson, understanding the relationship between weight and poor mental health in adolescence is important to provide timely help to the affected person.

Research shows a clear link between a higher BMI at age 12 and depressive symptoms at age 16, he said.
