Islamabad: The polling scheme has been prepared for the three constituencies NA 52, 53 and 54 of the federal capital, while a total of 43 candidates are contesting in these three constituencies.
According to the District Returning Officer (DRO) office, the number of voters in Islamabad is around 1.5 million. NA 52 to 13 while NA 53 to 15 candidates submitted papers. Apart from this, 15 candidates have submitted their nomination papers for the by-election of National Assembly Constituency 54.
PTI’s Raja Khurram Nawaz and PML-N’s Tariq Fazal Chaudhry submitted their nomination papers from NA-52. Ali Nawaz Awan, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Sabat Haider Bukhari of PP submitted their nomination papers from NA-53. PTI’s Asad Umar and PML-N’s Anjum Aqeel have submitted nomination papers from NA-54.
A total of 943 polling stations will be established in the 3 constituencies of the National Assembly and by-elections will be held in these constituencies on March 16.
