Islamabad: The High Court ordered the release of Parvez Elahi while suspending the written arrest order of the 3 MPO.

The court issued a notice to the parties including DC Islamabad for Tuesday and sought their reply till the next hearing. The court directed Parvez Elahi to appear before the court on the next hearing.

The Islamabad High Court directed that Parvez Elahi will not give any statement until the next hearing. The court remarked that according to the petitioner’s lawyer, there is no FIR registered against Parvez Elahi in Islamabad.

Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of Islamabad High Court heard the request of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi to declare the MPO order null and void.

Lawyer Pervez Elahi said that the Chief Minister has been in jail for three months, how can he create a situation of peace. Pervez Elahi’s counsel read the 3 MPO order on the direction of the court.

The lawyer of the former Chief Minister of Punjab said that Pervez Elahi has not given any statement for four months and no case has been registered against Pervez Elahi in Islamabad. He has been discharged from the case in the anti-corruption case. The arrest has been declared illegal, as soon as he was released from the Lahore High Court, he was taken from the custody of the Lahore Police.

The court inquired whether you did any commotion or procession in Islamabad. The lawyer said that no rally, procession, or commotion was ever done, contempt of court proceedings are underway against DC Islamabad for passing a similar order against Shehryar Afridi.
