Lahore: The Daska police rescued the 6-year-old Brazilian girl Megan Burgess and handed her over to the Brazilian embassy.
According to the details, Abdul Rehman, a resident of Majra Kalan, went abroad 13 years ago by boat, where he developed a relationship with a Brazilian national woman from whom Megan Burgess was born.
According to the police, Abdul Rahman and the Brazilian woman separated 5 years ago, according to local laws, the girl lived with her mother for 5 days a week and with her father for 2 days, and on August 20, 2023, Abdul Rahman took the girl away from her mother permanently. He came to Pakistan with Megan Burgess.
Police said that the father left the girl with her parents in Majra Kalan Tehsil Sambaryal and went back on August 27. On August 25, Abdul Rahman told the girl’s mother over the phone that someone had abducted the girl from the park.
In order to give color to the reality, Abdul Rehman filed a case 4297/23 BJRM 363 TP on August 26 in Police Station Factory Area District Sheikhupura.
The German Embassy sent an e-mail request to the Brazilian Embassy in Islamabad to recover the girl, on which the Deputy Head of Mission of the Brazilian Embassy wrote a letter to DPO Sialkot about the recovery of the girl.
DPO Sialkot Muhammad Hasan Iqbal issued orders to DSP Sir Kal Sambaryal and SHO Thana Airport to ensure the recovery of the girl child who along with the National Officer Brazil Embassy Islamabad took the girl child to Abd on 03.09.23. Rehman’s father’s house has been recovered and handed over to the Brazilian Embassy.
