Karachi: The anti-narcotics force recovered thousands of bottles of liquor from a container sent from Dubai.
According to the spokesperson of ANF, the crackdown against drug trafficking is ongoing across the country, during which 5 suspects have been arrested after recovering a large quantity of drugs.
In a major operation by ANF at Karachi International Container Terminal, a large number of liquor bottles were recovered from a container sent from Dubai. 8520 bottles of foreign liquor were booked for a private company in Karachi.
In 2 operations near Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad, ANF recovered a total of 2 kg of hashish and 480 grams of ice from 2 suspects in a passenger bus, and also recovered 6 packets of hashish from a motorcyclist resident of Toba Tek Singh. . The total weight of Varanda Charas is 7 kg 200 grams.
464 narcotic (ecstasy) tablets were recovered from the accused on University Road Peshawar. The arrested suspect, a resident of Hangu, confessed to selling drugs to university students.
Besides, 86 capsules filled with heroin were recovered from the stomach of the passenger at Bacha Khan International Airport. The accused, a resident of Khyber, was leaving for Dubai by flight number EK-637. Meanwhile, 20 kg hashish concealed for smuggling was recovered in 2 operations in Zakhakhel area of Khyber.
ANF has registered cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act against the accused arrested in all the operations and further investigation has been started.
