Beijing: In China, a woman stole an iPhone from an Apple store by cutting the strong cable with her teeth, which is a very difficult task under normal circumstances.
We know that smartphones, tablets, laptops especially on display in Apple showrooms are kept for testing. They are tied with strong strings to prevent theft. But a woman in China cut the wire with her teeth and escaped with an iPhone worth $960. However, he was soon arrested.
The incident took place in China’s southeastern province of Fujian, where a woman with the surname ‘Chai’ can be seen stealing a phone on CCTV footage. She successfully steals the phone and comes out of the showroom, but the police arrest her within half an hour.
In the CCTV video, the woman was seen first examining the iPhone for some time, then she gripped the cable with her teeth and tried to cut it, which took a long time. Eventually the cable broke and the phone came out. After that, the lady contentedly put the phone in her bag and walked out of the store.
The store manager said that the alarm of the shop went off during this time, but the staff saw everything and said that there was something wrong. The woman first checked out several devices and happily expressed her interest in buying the phone. However, after some time, a broken wire chewed with teeth was seen, after which the police were called.
The arrested woman said that her phone was stolen and she needed another phone but decided to steal it after seeing the high price.
