Buenos Aires: Famous Argentinian actress Silvina Luna died due to wrong plastic surgery.
According to foreign media, 43-year-old Silvina Luna had been alive for the past 79 days under treatment and on life support in a hospital in Buenos Aires, where on Thursday, doctors approved the removal of the ventilator with the permission of her family.
Actress Silvina Luna suffered from kidney failure after undergoing a bootlift surgery in 2011 and had to undergo dialysis three times a week.
Silvina Luna first needed medical attention in 2015 when she was treated for kidney stones. Apart from the kidneys, she was also suffering from seven diseases which were caused due to cosmetic surgery.
The plastic surgery of the actress was done in 2011 by cosmetic surgeon Anibal Lutoki. Dr. Lutoki injected Silvina with a liquid containing polymethyl methacrylate, which is banned by Argentina’s drug authority.
Silvina later traveled to Miami in 2016 where she met with Argentinian Dr. Cristian Perez, who removed the malignant substance from her buttocks, but Silvina became immunocompromised due to the drugs she underwent as a result of her surgeries.
The Attorney General’s Office of Buenos Aires has opened an investigation into Silvina’s death and has ordered her body to be sent to the city morgue for an autopsy.
It should be noted that Silvina Luna’s death comes just two weeks after TV host and fashion expert Mariano Caprola died of complications from a 2010 butt lift surgery that was also performed by Dr. Lutucci.
In February 2022, Dr Lutoki was sentenced to four years in prison in a medical malpractice case brought by actress Silvina Luna and three other women, while in July a court banned him from practicing medicine for five years. was given Dr Lutoki filed an appeal challenging his convictions, which is being reviewed by the National Chamber of Criminal Appeals.
