Complaints of harassing citizens and asking for free items are continuously increasing on the part of Lahore Police, sub-inspector in Harbanspora police station registered three cases for giving a pack of cigarettes worth Rs 500 ‘free’.
According to the details, the police registered 3 cases in two days against the shop owner’s nephew and the employee. It happened with Khalid Mehmood, the owner of the cigarette pan shop in Canal Bank Road, Harbanspora.
The shopkeeper lodged an application against the SHO of the concerned police station in the CCPO office. In this regard, the sources said that the police officials have been found guilty in the preliminary inquiry. Besides, further inquiry is being done in the CCPO office.
The petitioner said that on August 26, Sub-Inspector Asim along with four policemen came to his shop and asked for a pack of cigarettes worth Rs. Sat in the car and took it.
The police registered a case against my employee Ramzan, except my nephew, for damaging the cameras at the shop. The next day, on August 27, sub-inspector Asim along with sub-inspector Zaigham came to the shop with 8 police officers.
According to the petitioner, the police opened the tarpaulin of the closed shop and took more than 313 hundred imported cigarette boxes and around 140 local cigarette boxes, the value of the cigarettes is around 7 lakh rupees.
