Mumbai: Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s movie ‘Jawan’ is slated for release on September 7 and has set a new advance booking record.
According to Indian media sources, ‘Jawan’ has surpassed Salman Khan’s ‘Kisi Ka Bhai, Kisi Ki Jaan’ by selling 4 crore tickets on the first day of ticket booking.
Advance ticket booking for ‘Jawan’ continued from 10 AM to 3 PM and more than 100,000 tickets were sold during that time.
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan’s film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ had set a record by selling 3.39 crore tickets earlier this year.
Tickets for the Tamil version of the mega-thriller and action film sold for Rs 20 lakh as it will also feature Tamil stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in action.
By the end of the first day, 1 lakh 24 thousand tickets of ‘Jawan’ have been sold across India and it is expected to increase in the coming days.
