Moscow: After the Russian President’s statement that those who threaten Russia will be forced to think twice, Moscow has installed advanced Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (Sarmat) along its borders.
According to Al Jazeera’s report, the head of the Russian Space Agency, Rosko Samos, confirmed that the intercontinental ballistic missile Sarmat strategic complex has been installed in a combat alert position.
Russia’s state-run news agency TASS said in its report that based on expert estimates, the RS-28 Sarmat is capable of delivering a nuclear warhead weighing up to 10 tons anywhere around the world, at both the North and South Poles.
On the other hand, White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that he was not in a position to confirm the reports whether Russia has indeed put Sarmat on combat alert.
Russia tested the Sarmat missile in April 2022, the missiles launched hit targets on the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia’s Far East. Russia’s Sarmat missile can destroy British capital London in 6 minutes.
