Google Confirms Introducing 'Safe Search' Feature

California: Technology giant Google has confirmed the introduction of ‘Safe Search’ feature.

At the beginning of this year, Google announced that the ‘Safe Search’ feature will be applied to Google Search, under which indecent and violent images appearing in the search will be blurred.

In a blog published yesterday on parental control and online safety for children in the Asia Pacific region, Google confirmed that the content obfuscation feature in search has been rolled out to all users.

This feature has not changed anything except basic Google settings. All Google accounts will now be able to see the Safe Search setting, which obscures offensive, violent or inappropriate or sensitive content.

This setting will apply to all Google searches, regardless of whether the content is searched from a signed-out account or in cognitive mode.

This new setting can also be easily changed by users. Users can remove the filter applied to results by turning off the SafeSearch default option.
