Pakistan reached the semi-finals of the five-a-side hockey Asia Cup event.
The national team will face Oman in the first semi-final of the event while India will face the challenge of Malaysia, both the semi-final matches will be played today. The first semi-final between Pakistan and Oman will be played today at 12 pm Pakistan time while the second semi-final between India and Malaysia will start at 1 pm.
Pakistan captain Rana Abdul Waheed Ashraf is the top scorer of the event with 21 goals while Indian player Maninder Singh is in the second position with 20 goals.

Pakistan has qualified for the 5-a-side Hockey World Cup for the first time in history.
Head Coach World Hockey Cup Gold Medalist Pride of Performance Olympian Waseem Feroze is performing the coaching duties of Pakistan Five Side Hockey Team while Team Manager Major R Muhammad Shahnawaz Khan is performing his professional duties.
In addition to Pakistan, teams from India, Afghanistan, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong China, Kazakhstan, Malaysia and the host country Oman are included in the tournament.
It should be noted that the national team has qualified to participate in the World Cup by reaching the semi-finals of the event.
