Karachi: In Azizabad area, one bandit was killed and another escaped injured in the firing of a citizen.
Robbery incidents are continuing in Shahr Quaid and due to the failure of the police to reduce street crime, the citizens have started keeping arms for self-defense. The incident of firing of a citizen during a robbery took place between Thursday and Friday night, in which a robber was killed by a citizen in Azizabad area while his accomplice managed to escape with injuries.
According to the police, a citizen in a car had come to buy milk at a milk shop, during which two robbers on a motorcycle tried to rob him and during this the citizen opened fire with his pistol, killing one of the robbers and his accomplice. Injured, who escaped on a motorcycle.
Weapons have also been recovered from the dead bandit. On receiving the information about the incident, the police reached the spot and collected evidence besides taking information from the eyewitnesses. The police have shifted the body of the accused to the hospital for legal proceedings and started the investigation.
