The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected Rs 20 billion more in taxes than the target in August.
According to the statement issued by FBR, 669 billion rupees tax was collected in August, the tax collection target was 649 billion rupees.
According to the FBR report, a 34.5% increase in tax revenue has been recorded compared to last August.
In August 2022, 494 billion rupees were collected in taxes, this month the tax collection was in line with the target set by the IMF.
