Karachi: The Sindh High Court stopped the NAB from arresting the 4 alleged frontmen of the former Excise Minister.
While preventing the arrest of 4 alleged frontmen related to the NAB inquiry against former Provincial Excise and Taxation Minister Mukesh Kumar and others, the Sindh High Court ordered the petitioners to fully cooperate in the investigation.
In the High Court, a hearing was held on the applications of Deputy Director Excise and Taxation Abdul Waheed Sheikh, Hasan Ali Sharif, Amir Gul Sharif and Amir Sharif, in which the lawyers argued that there is a fear of arrest by NAB. Petitioner is ready to cooperate in NAB inquiry.
The court restrained the NAB from arresting the petitioners and remarked that they should not be arrested in the inquiry of the Food and Excise and Taxation Department. The court ordered the petitioners to fully cooperate in the investigation, issued a notice to the NAB prosecutor and the investigating officer and adjourned the hearing till September 12.
It should be noted that the Sindh High Court has also restrained the NAB from arresting former Provincial Excise and Taxation Minister Mukesh Kumar.
