Pakistan music industry’s well-known singer Aima Baig and Nepali singer Trishala Gurung will perform at the opening ceremony of Asia Cup at Multan Cricket Stadium today.
Multan, known as the land of saints, is all set to host the first match of Asia Cup 2023 today.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced in a statement on social media website X that ‘Today the fans will be able to watch live fireworks, performances by Aima Baig and Nepali singer Trishala Gurung and the opening match between Pakistan and Nepal. Will enjoy the match’.
Aima Baig has already created the magic of her voice in Pakistan Super League (PSL) anthems but Nepalese singer Trishla Gurung is a completely new voice for Pakistani fans.
The current edition of this multinational tournament is being held in Pakistan and Sri Lanka between August 30 and September 17.
It should be noted that all the Asia Cup matches will not be played in Pakistan as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) refused to send its team to Pakistan due to security concerns.
4 matches of this event will be played in Pakistan while 9 matches including the final match will be played in Sri Lanka.
