New York: We know that in tennis, golf, basketball, squash, but also in cricket, on the one hand, you have to keep an eye on the ball, and on the other hand, being prepared by watching the plays of the opponent makes it easier to succeed in the game. Now a smart lens has been created that can help athletes with both of these issues.
This invention, called Falcon Frames, can improve neurological and visual skills. The New York Tennis Academy and other institutions have taken help for its preparation. Falcon Frames is an innovation of a new start-up company, Okure, which is also supported by Evolution Optics.
The top half of it is cut off with various LEDs mounted on the sides. These LEDs are placed under the wearer’s field of vision. Then there are two sensors for eye tracking that keep track of where the player is looking and where they are looking.
After wearing the Falcon frame glasses, it connects via Bluetooth to the smartphone app and thus the app guides the player. In this way the player’s sighting style is trained and gradually the player starts mastering it. This will help to understand the ball coming from the front and the attack of the opposing player.
On the other hand, the lens will also help in understanding the correct direction and location of the ball. Apart from this, it will also help to increase the connection between the eye and the brain. Bookings for the Falcon Frame are currently open and the price has not been revealed. It is estimated that it can cost up to a few hundred dollars.
