Islamabad High Court accepted PTI Chairman’s request for suspension of sentence in Tosha Khana case.

The court has also issued an order to release the Chairman PTI on bail.

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamir Farooq delivered a brief verdict and said that the verdict is being written.

The court has said that the reasons for suspending the sentence will be given in the written decision.

Yesterday, the Islamabad High Court had reserved its decision after hearing the arguments of the parties on the request for suspension of the sentence of Chairman PTI in the Tosha Khana case.

A two-member bench headed by Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Aamir Farooq and Justice Tariq Jahangiri heard the petition against the trial court’s sentence in the Tosha Khana case on behalf of the former prime minister.

Earlier, significant progress was made in the Tosha Khana case before the judgment on the suspension of sentence application.

Chairman PTI has also filed a request to prevent arrest in any case.

Chairman PTI through lawyer Salman Safdar has filed an application in the Islamabad High Court in which FIA, NAB and police have been requested to stop the arrest.

Chairman PTI’s lawyer has also requested a hearing on the application today.

It should be noted that on August 5, Judge Humayun Dilawar of the Sessions Court of Islamabad sentenced Chairman PTI to 3 years in prison and a fine of 100,000 in the Tosha Khana case.

After being sentenced in the Tosha Khana case, the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was arrested from Lahore on the same day and is currently lodged in Attock Jail.
