The students’ organization demanded the dismissal of the vice chancellor of Dawood Engineering University

Karachi: After the bitter conversation between the vice-chancellor of Dawood Engineering University and the students’ organization yesterday, the students’ organization held a press conference and demanded the dismissal of the vice-chancellor.

According to the details, a support camp of the students’ organization was set up outside the University of Karachi yesterday.

For not removing the logo on the camp, Samreen Hussain tore the papers in the camp and had a bitter conversation, the video of which went viral on social media.

Consequently, the student body held a press conference at the press club. In which Waqas Rafiq of Islamic Jamiat Talaba, moderator of Professional Zone, said that he pays tribute to the officials of Dawood University for taking care of the sanctity of the teacher.

The student organization had set up a camp at Maskan Gate with the permission of the city administration. The students are demanding from the Sindh Chief Minister that the vice chancellor of Dawood University should be dismissed.

On the other hand, Dawood Engineering University took the entrance test yesterday under the ‘third party’ principle from the services of educational institution IBA Testing Service Karachi. In which all arrangements were made for the convenience and guidance of the students by both institutions.

According to the administration of Dawood University of Engineering and Technology, all information was provided to the candidates along with the admit card and help desks were also established at the examination centers in the presence of which no third party or political party was authorized to set up the admission desk. .

The administration of Dawood University, while responding to the press conference, said that the student organization had set up a guidance desk outside the examination center without the knowledge of the university and illegally used the logo of Dawood University along with political flags. There was no guidance material but political pamphlets.

Vice Chancellor of Dawood Engineering University Prof. Dr. Samreen Hussain pointed out that according to the administration, the political workers there realized the mistake and hid the university logo.

Dawood University administration says that after this incident, the statement of the student organization’s spokesperson about harassment of students is very wrong and absurd because there is no element of harassment in it but the vice chancellor was there alone.
