Rawalpindi: In Rawalpindi, a serious incident of robbery took place in Waris Khan area of Waris Khan police station, in which an armed robber on a motorcycle assaulted a woman at the point of a weapon, and one of the robbers kicked the woman by scratching her gold rings and earrings from her ears. The CCTV footage of the incident will go viral on social media. In the CCTV footage, it can be seen that two unknown armed robbers continued to assault the woman wearing a burqa. He grabbed the woman’s head and pulled the earrings from her ears.
Apart from this, the robbers kicked the woman on the head and fled the scene after the incident. The police spokesperson says that a case of robbery has been registered against the accused on the request of Zafar Mehmood, the husband of the victim, Shazia Naz.
According to preliminary investigation, the accused have stolen jewelery worth Rs 1 lakh, a mobile phone, ATM card and identity card from the woman and fled. After the CCTV footage of the incident came to light, senior police officers reprimanded SSP Operations Faisal Saleem and ordered the immediate arrest of the accused.
Due to the continuous increase in street crime in Rawalpindi, citizens are suffering from insecurity, women and young children are no longer safe from the accused.
