Karachi: The Sindh High Court has reserved its decision on the petitions related to the offloading of social worker and lawyer Gibran Nasir Advocate and his wife actress Mansha Pasha from the airport.
According to the report, a two-member bench headed by Justice Nimatullah Phalphoto heard the petitions related to the offloading of the eminent lawyer and his wife Minsha Pasha from the airport.
There was a big revelation in the court that the petitioner’s lawyer is on the watch of a sensitive institution. The sensitive institution’s letter was submitted to the Sindh High Court.
Faisal Siddiqui advocate stated that FIA named the sensitive organization in its reply. The name was included in the watch list on the recommendation of the sensitive institution.
“The DG of an organization directed us to add the name,” FIA officials said. Mansha Pasha made Faisal Siddiqui his lawyer.
Justice Mrs. Kausar Sultana Hussain remarked that what is the legal status of the watch list? Faisal Siddiqui stated that the second name of the watch list has been changed to ECL.
The court remarked that what is the content of putting your answer on the watch list? “We only got an order to put the name on the watch list,” government officials said.
After hearing the arguments, the court reserved its decision on both the petitions.
In the filed petitions, the stand was taken that the petitioner disagreed with the lawyer but why the name of the wife was included. He was going to spend Eid holidays with his family on 27 June 2023. When they reached the immigration desk, they were sent back with an exit stamp.
Officer Khan on duty said that the instruction is not to let you go. Equipment was also offloaded. On June 1, 10 to 15 were kidnapped by unknown persons.
A case of kidnapping has been registered at Clifton police station which has been upgraded to A class. Stopping people from leaving the country should be declared illegal. An inquiry should be ordered against the FIA officials.
It should be remembered that social activist and lawyer Gibran Nasir Advocate and his wife Minsha Pasha have approached the Sindh High Court to go abroad.
