In 21 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, by-elections on 65 seats were held on Sunday, in which 40 independent candidates were successful.
According to the unofficial and inconclusive results, Tehreek-e-Insaf won 14 seats and took the lead over all political parties. JUI won 6 seats, Jamaat-e-Islami won 5 seats, ANP won 4 seats while People’s Party won 2 seats. TLP got one seat.
