Texas: The US Navy officer who claimed to have shot Osama bin Laden during the Abbottabad military operation was arrested on charges of drunken vandalism.

According to American media, former US Navy officer Robert O’Neill was arrested in Texas on charges of drunken disorder and assault on a woman.

The former US Navy sailor was arrested on a Class A charge of assault causing bodily injury while intoxicated in a public place and a Class C misdemeanor charge of misdemeanor battery.

Robert O’Neill, a former US Navy officer, was later released on $3,500 bail, but the case will now go to court where he could face prison terms and fines.

It should be remembered that this US Navy officer became the center of attention when he decided not to keep his identity a secret and claimed in an interview on Fox News that in 2011, in the operation of the US Army in Abbottabad, Pakistan. Osama Bin Laden was shot by me.

The former US Navy official told the story in his 2017 memoir “The Operator,” and according to The New York Post, the US government has never confirmed or denied the story.
