Citizens of Peshawar protested at Ganj Chowk against the increase in electricity bills, burnt bills, raised slogans against WAPDA and the government.
According to Express News, protests against high electricity bills are going on across the country, today in Peshawar, people also protested against expensive electricity at Ganj Chowk. Along with citizens, businessmen also participated in the protest.
Protesters burnt electricity bills, shouted slogans against caretaker government and WAPDA.
The protestors said that the increase in electricity bills and taxes have increased our hardships, we are forced to sell household goods to pay the electricity bills, the government should withdraw the cruel taxes.
