Cairo: An Egyptian man shot his wife and five children in Giza Governorate, south of the capital.
According to international media reports, the shooter has been identified as 45-year-old Ahmad Al-Noon. As a result of domestic problems, the accused opened fire on the family as a result of which the 22-year-old elder son was killed.
Security services in Giza received a call from residents of al-Waraq area that a man had shot his wife and children. Ahmed’s youngest child is 4 years old.
Police personnel who arrived at the scene found Ahmed sitting next to the dead body of his 22-year-old son. Ahmed did not try to run away, while his wife and the other 4 children were seriously injured as a result of the firing and were immediately shifted to the hospital.
According to reports, Ahmed confessed to the crime in which he said that he opened fire on the family in a fit of rage after an argument with his wife over household expenses and debts.
