Lahore: Two people got trapped in the manhole and died near Gajumta Rohi drain.
A man lowered down a ladder to pass the cable in the manhole but fell down during the work due to gasses in the molasses. A second person came down to save him but he also died of suffocation.
Both the deceased persons belong to a private cable company.
Expressing deep grief over the loss of both human lives, MD Vasa said that the two men descended without safety equipment.
