The government has suspended this month’s tax levied on electricity bills
Muzaffarabad: The boycott campaign of electricity bills is going on by action committees across Azad Kashmir including Kotli.
Camps have been set up in Kotli city, suburbs of Thatta Pani, Khoi Ratta, Goi Nikyal, and Nad for the boycott of electricity bill campaign.
Citizens burnt hundreds of electricity bills in Hajira. Khoi Ratta Bar announced strike against cruel taxes on electricity bills. In Kotli, the lawyers protested and shouted slogans against the government.
The government has extended the date of submission of electricity bills till August 28. Nazim Al-Barikyat says that the government has suspended this month’s tax levied on electricity bills and adjusted it in the month of July.
The action committees say that the protest will continue till the removal of cruel taxes from electricity bills.
