Mumbai: BJP leaders in India started telling people the benefits of eating fish in public meetings, they say that if you want beautiful eyes like Aishwarya Rai, eat fish every day.
An uproar over this statement by the Maharashtra minister, Vijay Kumar Gavit, addressed a function to distribute supplies to fishermen in a local village, during which he forgot moral values in his passionate speech.
The minister said that eating fish has two benefits, if women eat it, it makes the face glow, has anyone seen Aishwarya Rai?
He appealed to people to eat fish and encouraged them by saying that actress Aishwarya Rai used to eat fish everyday so her eyes and skin are beautiful, if you eat fish your eyes will also be beautiful.
Congress party members have expressed their displeasure over Gavit’s statement and said that the minister should focus on tribal issues instead of making such comments.
On the other hand, Nitish Rane, a BJP MLA also criticized and said that I eat fish everyday, my eyes should have been like that. I will ask Gavit sir, have you done any research on this?
