Tonic: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police thwarted an attempt by terrorists to attack Gomal Police Station of District Tank.
According to Express News, 10 to 15 terrorists advanced on Gomal police station of District Tank at 10 o’clock on Saturday night with the intention of attack.
According to the authorities, the police observed the suspicious movement of the terrorists with modern technology and gave a strong response. After which there was a fierce exchange of fire with the terrorists for about 15 minutes and they stopped the advance.
The terrorists were repulsed by vigorous police action and forced to flee, during which there was no loss of life and no official was injured.
IG Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hayat Khan contacted SHO Gomal on phone and praised the personnel for foiling the terrorist attack with bravery and also announced to give them fifty thousand rupees in cash and certificates of appreciation.
