Adiman: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced a one-year rent payment for people who lost their homes in the earthquake.
According to details, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited the eastern province of Adıman, where he met the earthquake victims.
“As a nation we are facing one of the biggest disasters in our history, we will fully support the victims,” Erdogan said while inspecting search and rescue efforts in Adiman province.
The Turkish president said that the victims who do not want to live in tents should rent a house, we will pay the rent for one year.
“We are preparing to give 15,000 lira to every household, including relocation assistance, we are preparing a comprehensive program that will enable the country to stand up again,” he said.
Erdogan added that at least 76,000 people have been evacuated from 10 provinces affected by the earthquake and sent to other parts of the country.
Later, while meeting earthquake victims in Malatya, the Turkish president said that more than 141,000 personnel are working in 10 provinces and teams from abroad are also working.
He thanked the hard workers without discrimination and stressed that the state stands with the citizens with all its resources.
