Karachi: Anti-vehicle lifting cell police arrested 4 operatives of inter-provincial car lifter gang.
According to the details, the police recovered 4 cars on the possession and identification of the accused, while according to the spokesperson of AVLC, the arrested car lifter group used to operate their group from Lyari and used to take the stolen cars from Karachi and sell them in Balochistan.
According to the police, the accused were identified as Irfan Shah, Raheel, Zameer Shah and Sikandar Shah, while 4 cars found in the possession of the accused were stolen from different areas of the city.
According to the spokesman, the car lifters arrested by the AVLC City Division are habitual criminals and involved in several incidents of stealing cars from the city, while the accused have stolen more than a dozen cars from Karachi and taken them to Balochistan and sold them.
Police said that during preliminary investigation, the suspects revealed that they sell the stolen cars to Obaidullah Askani in Balochistan, adding that the chassis of one of the cars found in the possession of the suspects had been erased.
According to the police, the Anti-Vehicle Lifting Cell is conducting raids to arrest Arshad Ali, the absconding accomplice of the arrested car lifters, and Obaidullah Askani, the car buyer. Thefts were registered in these police stations.
