Pyongyang: North Korea displayed intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) and other weapons during a military parade yesterday, describing them as the country’s “largest” nuclear strike capability.
According to North Korean state media, the 75th founding day of the North Korean military was celebrated on Wednesday night, with leader Kim Jong-un participating in the parade with his wife and daughter.
The military parade featured a variety of nuclear-capable weapons, including tactical nuclear missiles and ICBMs.
Among the systems on display was the country’s largest ICBM, the Hwasong-17, which some analysts said could be a new solid-fuel ICBM.
North Korea’s military parades are closely watched by foreign governments and experts because they often display newly developed weapons.
