Lahore: The Pakistan Literature Festival will begin on February 10 in Lahore, which will be inaugurated by caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah.
According to Express News, there will be more than 50 sessions of the festival, which will include entertainment, comedy, music, dance, literature, education, economy, book launch, discussions with leading intellectuals and artists of the country.
Punjab Information and Culture Minister Aamir Mir and Sindh Culture and Education Minister Syed Sardar Shah will also attend the inauguration ceremony.
In Al Hamra Arts Council, Anwar Maqsood, Provincial Minister of Information and Culture Aamir Mir, Secretary Information and Broadcasting Ali Nawaz Malik and Executive Director of Al Hamra Zulfikar Zulfi along with President of Arts Council Pakistan Karachi Ahmad Shah said in a press conference that since last 15 years Karachi Arts Council is organizing Urdu conference, now we are introducing a new brand, there is a great need for unity in Pakistan, through culture and literature all the units of the country can be connected.
He said that Lahore has been a literary and cultural center, people from Delhi and Chandigarh used to come to study here, we are connecting the young generation, after Lahore, Gwadar, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, Peshawar, Islamabad and Karachi. This festival will be held.
Ahmad Shah said that after that Pakistan Literature Festival will be organized in different cities of America like Houston, New York, Chicago, Dallas and Toronto.
Anwar Maqsood said that if there was no Lahore, there would be no Urdu in Pakistan, every man has the right to have a good future, the situation is bad but we should hope for the best, the youth are our future, education in the country It was not allowed to flourish because the children of this country will not vote in the elections if they are educated.
He said that our young people are very intelligent, our young generation is true with intellect and understanding, whatever work Ahmad Shah puts his hand to is successful, Zulfi is very hardworking in organizing this festival.
Provincial Minister of Culture and Information Aamir Mir while speaking said that Muhammad Ahmad Shah is the soul of Pakistan Literature Festival event, Anwar Maqsood is the legend of our country, the foundation and hard work of this festival is Ahmed Shah, the intensity in the society of Pakistan. Such events are very important to get out of the craze.
Zulfikar Zulfi said that we welcome Ahmed Shah, Ahmed Shah is working day and night for this festival, Al Hamra is with him in every step, we will give full support under the leadership of Amir Mir.
