Men: 2 terrorists of a banned organization were killed in a clash with security forces in Masri Banda district of Nowshera.
The Counter-Terrorism Department of Mardan Region had received a confirmed information that an organized group of terrorists is present in the area of Risalpur Police Station, Nowshera Misri Banda, for the purpose of a major terrorist operation.
When the operation team of CTD reached the area, hand grenades were suddenly thrown at the jawans from the opposite direction and indiscriminate firing started, on which the security personnel also retaliated.
During the operation, two terrorists were killed while 2 to 3 of their companions escaped, the dead terrorists were identified as Muhammad Zeeshan alias Usman and Salman alias Emirati.
Both the terrorists were wanted by the Anti-Terrorism Department in Mardan in several serious cases including attacks on the police and extortion.
Apart from martyring Constable Bilal, Constable Muzamil Shah and Constable Zaramust, the accused were also involved in the target killing of Senior Medical Technician Abdul Tawab.
A heavy contingent of police has started a search operation in the area to arrest the absconding accused.
