Pakistan Literature Festival will be inaugurated on Friday, February 10 at 3 pm at Alhamra Arts Council, Lahore. Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah will inaugurate while Punjab Information and Culture Minister Aamir Mir and Sindh Culture Minister. And Education Syed Sardar Shah will also participate.
The festival will have more than 50 sessions which will include entertainment, comedy, music, dance, literature, education, economy, book launch, talks with leading intellectuals and artists of the country and other serious sessions.
On Thursday evening at Al-Hamra Arts Council, Anwar Maqsood, Provincial Minister of Information and Culture Amir Mir and Executive Director of Al-Hamra Zulfikar Zulfi, President of Arts Council Pakistan Karachi Ahmed Shah addressed a press conference at Al-Hamra and said that for the last 15 years Karachi Arts Council Urdu conference is being organized now introducing a new brand.
He said that today the enemies of our country have become more, there is a great need for unity in Pakistan. All units of a country can be connected through culture and literature. Pakistan Literature Festival is starting from Lahore.
He said that with the consultation of Anwar Maqsood, he is going to organize the Pakistan Literature Festival at the Pakistan and international level, he is inaugurating the festival from Lahore, Lahore has been the center of literature and civilization. The city was the largest cultural center in the region, with people from Delhi and Chandigarh coming to study here.
He said that the festival includes music, dance, Urdu literature, literary sessions, while there are various sessions on education, economy, poetry, all the chickens are fighting in the society, the intellectuals are disappearing, the relationship of the poet and the writer is with the government. No longer.
He said that we are connecting the young generation, after Lahore this festival will be held in Gwadar, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit, Peshawar, Islamabad and Karachi, after that it will go to four different cities of America. In which Pakistan Literature Festival will be organized in Houston, New York, Chicago Silicon Valley, Dalles and Toronto.
Ahmed Shah said that under the leadership of Anwar Maqsood, we are all going to the whole world, Sindh Chief Minister and Minister of Culture will also participate in the festival.
Anwar Maqsood said that I asked Ahmed Shah about the festival, how will you organize the festival in the conditions of the country, everyone is dying?
Ahmad Shah said that the country in which literature survives does not go anywhere. Ahmad Shah said that I have taken the responsibility of keeping literature alive.
He said that if there was no Lahore, there would be no Urdu in Pakistan, every man has the right to have a good future, the situation is getting worse. But we must hope for the best.
He said that the youth are our future, education has not been allowed to flourish in the country because the children of this country will not vote in the elections if they are educated. Our youth are very intelligent, our youth generation is true with wisdom and understanding.
Whatever work Ahmad Shah puts his hand to is successful, Zulfi’s hard work in organizing this festival.
Provincial Minister of Culture and Information Aamir Mir while speaking said that Muhammad Ahmad Shah is the soul of Pakistan Literature Festival event, Anwar Maqsood is the legend of our country, the foundation and hard work of this festival belongs to Ahmad Shah. Such events are very important to get rid of the extremism that has increased in the society of Pakistan.
Zulfiqar Zulfi said that Ahmed Shah is welcome. Ahmed Shah is working day and night for this festival.
