Peshawar High Court stopped NAB from arresting the contractor in the BRT Peshawar corruption case.
BRT contractors’ petition against NAB inquiry was heard in the High Court.
The court restrained NAB from arresting the contractor and directed that NAB conduct an inquiry but not arrest the petitioner.
The petitioner’s lawyer argued that NAB has started BRT inquiry and asked to provide necessary information, a writ was filed against BRT in 2017 but the court declared the contract transparent, BRT contracts are in accordance with law, NAB is also inquiring into cost escalation, although price escalation is a common thing, NAB is not authorized to interfere in everything, it is also checking the material, these contractors are being harassed, previous inc.
