Punjab;  Notification of 200 new vehicles for Assistant and Additional Commissioners challenged in court

The caretaker Punjab government’s notification of giving 200 new vehicles to Assistant Commissioners, Additional Commissioners was challenged in the Lahore High Court.

According to Express News, the petitioner has said that the Punjab government has approved the release of 3.2 billion rupees for the purchase of new vehicles a day ago, the caretaker government cannot use the funds, it can only run day-to-day affairs.

The petitioner has further submitted that the caretaker government is overstepping its authority, the court should suspend the notification for purchase of new vehicles for the officers.
