Islamabad: The Supreme Court stopped the arrest of PTI chairman in the lawyer murder case.
A hearing on the appeal against the nomination of chairman PTI in the murder case of lawyer Abdul Razzaq Shar in Quetta was held in the Supreme Court.
During the hearing, the lawyer of the Balochistan government requested the court to at least ask the Chairman PTI to appear before the JIT. Justice Yahya Afridi remarked that we will not issue any such order at present.
Musrat Hilali remarked that the petitioner has challenged the contents of the FIR. Petitioner’s lawyer Latif Khosa said that the JIT is controversial, we do not accept it.
Earlier, the IG Balochistan submitted the investigation report of lawyer Abdul Razzaq Shar murder case in the Supreme Court, in which it is stated that according to the FIR, the victim was being threatened for applying Article 6 against the Chairman PTI.
It has been stated in the report that during the investigation, a 7-member JIT was formed by the Ministry of Interior on June 8. 8 meetings of the JIT formed under the chairmanship of DIG CTD have been held so far. It was decided to call the accused in the first meeting of JIT. Summons notices were sent to Chairman PTI on June 19. In the case, it was decided to investigate 4 accused including Chairman PTI.
It has been said in the police report that the statements of the deceased’s wife and 2 brothers have also been recorded. Till now there has been no investigation involving Chairman PTI. Despite sending notices several times, Chairman PTI has not been involved in the investigation so far. Investigation of the case is ongoing.
