Mumbai: Bollywood actress Jhanvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan’s new film ‘Bowal’ is being criticized on social media for being anti-Semitic.
Directed by Nitish Tiwari, the film released on Amazon Prime Video on 21 July and received mixed reviews.
The story of ‘Boal’ revolves around the domestic problems of a married couple who are on a tour of historical places in Europe.
An Auschwitz survivor’s story about his separation from his wife at the concentration camp makes Varun Dhawan realize what separation from your partner actually means.
Bawaal is tone-deaf on so many levels.

The film’s characters visit a famous Nazi camp in Germany where they compare the complexity and problems of their relationship to the Holocaust.
At one point, Janhvi Kapoor says that every relationship goes through its own Auschwitz (camp) and she equated the domestic issue to the Holocaust.
Comparison with HITLER without knowing about Hitler, I think the #Bawaal Makers think they are giving brilliant message, but they forget that Hitler is the murderer of millions of people..!!! pic.twitter.com/oN90GjkqCb
