Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) spokesperson Faisal Karim Kundi has said that the party leadership has not yet received the name of Senator Ishaq Dar for caretaker prime minister.
Muslim League (N), the largest party in the ruling coalition, has decided to make Ishaq Dar caretaker prime minister.
However, in a conversation with Geo News, PPP spokesperson Faisal Karim Kundi said that till now, PML-N has not put Ishaq Dar’s name as caretaker prime minister before PPP, they will decide when the name comes out.
He further said that if the name of Ishaq Dar comes up in the future, there can be a consultation, the party leadership and senior leadership will take a decision regarding the name of caretaker prime minister.
He said that the leader of the house has to give three names and the opposition leader has to give three names for caretaker prime minister. Yusuf Raza Gilani, Khurshid Shah and Naveed Qamar will give the names of caretaker prime minister from the People’s Party.
Faisal Karim Kundi said that the names on which the People’s Party is considering cannot be made public yet.
The PP spokesperson also said that like the PML-N, other parties also have to consult on the name of the caretaker.
He said that the consultation regarding caretaker prime minister is going on within the party, the name has not been finalized, as soon as the name is finalized, it will be announced.
