Karachi: Korangi Industrial Area Police and Khawaja Ajmer Nagri Police arrested 3 robbers including one robber killed and one injured after alleged encounters and recovered weapons and other items.
According to the details, Korangi Industrial Area Police arrested 3 robbers including an injured one after the alleged encounter.
According to the statement issued by the office of SSP Korangi Tariq Nawaz, bandits were robbing citizens near Sector 15 of Korangi Industrial Area, Mehran Town. As soon as they saw the police on patrol, the bandits started firing at the police. Weapons, three pistols, stolen mobile phones, motorcycles and a bag were recovered from the arrested bandits.
The accused arrested in injured condition is identified as Javed Ali while the other two arrested accused include Asadullah and Mumtaz.
Khawaja Ajmer Nagri Police killed a bandit in an alleged encounter near Noor Baba Bakery, North Karachi Sector 2, Baba Mor Rahmaniya Masjid, on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
According to the spokesman SSP Central, when the police signaled the 3 suspects on the motorcycle to stop, the motorcyclists opened fire on the police, one of the robbers was killed by the police’s retaliatory fire, while his 2 accomplices managed to escape on the motorcycle.
A 30-bore pistol with three rounds and a mobile phone were recovered from the slain dacoit, while nothing identifying him was found.
The police shifted the body of the slain robber to the Edhi Mortuary for identification.
