Hayat Abdullah’s journey of “exploration”.

Ever since the creation of man, he has always been active in searching for something or the other, searching for curious objects has been his best pastime.

Curiosity refers to a thought found in humans, under which exploration, research, acquisition of knowledge etc. is possible. Curiosity is closely related to human development. With a certain continuity, man was connected with research and continued to set his evolutionary goals. In short, research has been fundamental in strengthening the evolutionary journey of man.

Hayat Abdullah is one of the creators of the present era who accomplished a unique creative feat like “The Health of Poems”, of course it was a very painstaking and meticulous work, Hayat Abdullah is a writer with extensive study, deep observation and critical awareness.

He started a series entitled “Health of Poems” to investigate the correctness of the poems published in the national newspapers across the country, to identify the mistakes of the wrong poems for the research of the correct poetry, and to investigate the name and lineage of the original creator of the poem. During this work, due to all kinds of obstacles faced by some friends, this series was also interrupted several times.

Many times he got to hear from some columnists that “Don’t write the names of the newspapers in which the wrong poems are written. It was ordered to avoid writing the names of the columnists.” Under all such obstacles, the columnists who were feeling insulted for their mistakes, Hayat Abdullah has presented his episodic column “The Health of Poetry” in the form of a book. Because all the writings included in “Khoj” contain bittersweet experiences and deep observations of a personal nature, this research work of his has been observed very closely.

In all the columns included in this book, the poems, idioms and phrases of the senior columnists have been reviewed in a very good manner and with authentic references. There are very few poems in “Khoj” which can be read due to the non-availability of the poet’s book or with a reference to a researcher’s book, while in other poems, the knowledge of prosody has not been taken into account, the columnist has written the poet’s name incorrectly, the weight of the poems and the order of the words have been distorted, the link of the two stanzas above and below has been separated from each other. , has made the poems weightless with shad and mud.

The tragedy of many of our columnists is that they write the poems as they remember them in their columns without any research. In my opinion, it is better not to write a poem at all than to write wrong poems in a column.

In the same way, many poets write poems, but they have no understanding of weight, due to which they often recite weightless poems in concerts. Such poets are in dire need of reading Hayat Abdullah’s book “Khoj”.

Hayat Abdullah writes that “The way classical poets are being oppressed, literature is suffering a lot.” Hazrat Allama Iqbal’s poems are also written incorrectly, which are common language.

The verse has not only been rendered weightless, but has also been rendered devoid of meaning. I would have considered it a scribal error if the rest of the poems were written correctly. This verse of the poem “Rise of Islam” in “Bang-e-Dara” is actually like this.

In the health of the poems included in “Khoj”, such weightless stanzas and poems can be read by other poets besides Iqbal. In my opinion, the columns in which there is more room for errors are written in haste, such pen faces are not attracted to column writing but to column writing.

For such columnists, Hayat Abdullah’s point of view is as follows: “My request to everyone associated with pen and paper is only that research is a little difficult task, but remember that after research and discovery, precious gems always come to hand.” After such a long floating, the oysters that came into my hands, the pearls and pearls from them are in your hands.

Before Hayat Abdullah, the late Nasir Zaidi continued to perform the duty of marking Suqam in his poems, which his contemporaries were often confused by. Hayat Abdullah has started a series of poems like “Gashti Hai Essays” after the health of the poems, most of his words sound like “embers”. These embers begin to shine in our thoughts like stars upon reflection.

Hayat Abdullah is a bright minded and visionary man. Before “Khoj” he has published a collection of columns based on selected political, sociological, academic, literary and social topics “Chasing Darkness” which highlights the pressing issues of his life, followed by a collection of columns titled “Salaam Kashmir” which tells the story of the oppression of Muslims in Occupied Kashmir with the confidence that this book will leave the hearts of the readers fluttering.

The collection of columns under review “Khoj” is definitely a valuable scholarly and creative effort in the world of literature for which the amount of praise and respect given to Hayat Abdullah will be less.
