Mumbai: As Hollywood legendary filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s new film ‘Oppenheimer’ is raising flags of success all over the world, it has also become a victim of a religious controversy.

Several Hindu fans on social media have criticized the film for reciting their religion’s holy book ‘Gita’ during lewd scenes in the film.

‘Oppenheimer’ is a film based on the life of an atomic scientist who developed a nuclear bomb and with this film Christopher Nolan has received an R rating for the first time in 20 years.

According to Christopher Nolan, the film needed sex scenes to illustrate the nature of Oppenheimer’s life and personal relationships.

Film fans in India have called for a boycott of the film, calling it insulting to read ‘Gita’ during sex scenes.

It should be noted that historically the Hindu religious book ‘Gita’ has been an important part of Oppenheimer’s life and he was very interested in ancient religious texts.
