The anti-narcotics force is continuing its operations against drugs across the country, while 58 kg of drugs have been recovered and 5 suspects have been arrested in 5 different operations.
According to ANF spokesperson, during a major operation at M1 Motorway Toll Plaza Islamabad, 32 kg 400 grams of hashish and 3 kg 600 grams of opium hidden in the vehicle were recovered and the accused resident of Nowshera was arrested.
In 2 separate operations at Sialkot International Airport, 2 suspects, residents of Haripur and Chakwal, who were traveling to Sharjah from flight number PK-209, were arrested. 198 capsules filled with heroin and ice were recovered from the stomach of the accused.
In another operation, 18 kg of hashish was recovered from the possession of the accused, a resident of Karachi, in the area of Dastgir Block 9. Besides, 3 kg of ice hidden in UPS was recovered from the accused, a local resident near GT Road Peshawar, which is being smuggled to Punjab.
The Anti-Narcotics Force has registered cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act against all the arrested accused and started further investigation.
